Gone Girl

If you haven’t read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, please let me tell you, YOU SHOULD!!  I was immediately drawn into the story and could not put it down.  The author, Gillian Flynn, tells the story from the perspectives of both main characters, Nick and Amy Dunne.  I really love books where you are able to see the perspective of both characters!!!

Things become really interesting when Amy goes missing on the day of she and Nick’s fifth wedding anniversary.  Things do not add up to the cops, and Nick does not appear to be the “normal grieving” husband.  Nick’s actions coupled with finding Amy’s diary makes for a very thrilling read.  I won’t give too much away, but there is so much more to the story!  Go and grab a copy!!

If you enjoy suspense, twists and turns, and an overall good read, check out Gone Girl.

I give this book five out of five high heels ( btw, high heels are my equivalent to stars)

Happy reading, readers!

Divergent by Veronica Roth

Divergent is an action packed book that I could not put down.  Beatrice ‘Tris’ Prior is a sixteen year old girl growing up in post-apocalyptic Chicago.  Society has been divided into five different “factions”, Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless and Erudite based on the results of aptitude tests.  Tris must make a decision to stay in her current faction with her family, or move to a different one and become the real Tris.  The decision she makes ends up surprising even her.  Tris goes on to face a very difficult initiation process, and also learns that she has a secret that she must keep to herself, or it could result in her death.

This book has something for everyone, from suspense to romance and if you are looking for a great read I highly recommend Divergent.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
